I am confident in this one. The west coast microbrewing trend actually started in Portland in the late '70s/early '80s. I grew up with easy access to better beer than most of the world could find. It totally spoiled me to the point where good Irish and English stouts or German ales just taste normal to me (not a bad thing at all really )
Seattle took off not long after and has some standouts too.
The “white” ones are just lazily sprayed with varmish - you won’t see it anyway on the finished pickguard.
I got that advice from a guitar builder on zzzee Zzzzerman forum: it will fill micro scratches, and after sanding it will be very smooth (Barney - don’t worry, you wont see anything after the wrap film is applied).
The lower one is the infamous “Barney Picikup”. It’s filled with glasfiber epoxy and hardened great. It’s not propertly sanded yet … and I will spray that as well.
I just wanted to keep it in this state and make a pic to show you, Barney, as I have to think about you every time I look at it
Mint’s pickguard and control plate has wrap film now. Need to do the cavities, but it already looks good.
Note the subtle reflection effect, cause pearl white.
I found it boring at first, but slowly I’m getting it! (I used the flash an pointed it 50cm to the left of the control plate).
