Should I shoot my new bass? (Modding the Harley Benton MV-4MSB)

I actually love Belgian beer (despite standing by Portland and other PNW beers  )

It’s a little unfortunate here in Tokyo; there’s a definitely some good Belgian beer bars for sure, but for most places it’s usually Hoegaarden or Chimay if you’re lucky. Or maybe Lindemans, which I shamefully admit to actually liking but will not drink in public

I like this place, convenient and good food:

Delerium runs a few of them in Tokyo. Not the best selection but the locations are great.

I do enjoy a good Dubbel or Tripel.

Cool - this is like our own Piet Mondriaan did something for Ikea.
I love both Mondriaan and Ikea!

Chimay is truly my first choice for “casual” beer … (not for pub crawling) … never disappointed and great taste. If I want to enjoy, one Blue Chimay … the gates of paradise. … Hoegaarden … well if it’s hot and with a grenadine syrop (not of my style).

Ahhh Howard, we will be friends if you talk about dubbel and tripel.

Even in astronomy, Belgian people are so desperately beer lovers : TRAPPIST-1 - Wikipedia

Already the first sentence of that wikipedia article is great: “TRAPPIST-1 is a cool red dwarf star”!

Take that, uncool dwarf stars!

Yay, the Hamburg sun decided to shine a little!

You must be from the east coast. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Denton, Texas to Marfa, Texas is more than a bit of a drive.

Just read two interesting articles about Gen Z. It made me think … maybe the issue is not agile per sé, but the agile developers? Most of them are Gen Z!?

I mean, they are afraid to change light bulbs and rather call their parents!!! The parents … that would be us (in theory).

If someone is afraid to change a light bulb or does not know how to clean a car, this does something about the state of mind of that generation

Man I’m tempted to mod the crap out of this. Just picked up the whole thing for $140. The seller did say he’s open to negotiate.

I told him no need it’s a great price I’ll pick up first thing in the morning, he practically delivered to me this morning. I saved another 2 gallons of petro that’s $15 at some stations

I would have started already and made a thread about it

  • Challenge: change EVERYTHING, except body and neck!
  • Bonus level: make it fretless - but with the veneer method!

There is only one rule: don’t use power tools

Painting with pretty broad strokes here. In cases where this applies, I’d say the fault lies with the people that taught them how to be functioning adults.

That would be social media?

Our generation. The answer you’re looking for is the collective “us.”

Hahahaha! I know what you mean. The problem of most kids is … their parents!
It’s getting in complicated territory, but - for arguments’s sake - I’m not looking at causes … I just try to find an explantion why so many new fancy ideas in projects fail … they do sound so good!

It’s people!

But I should have known: “Individuals and interactions over processes and tools” (Agile Manifest, one of the first statements)

Nice. I have a Nordstrand pickup just dying for a mustang to go in. Good find

Done that just last month. I don’t have the need for Fretless just yet.

Do you have a P/H? Currently my favourite pickup combination, eben more so than HH!

Maybe you can route a P bass to P/H, just for funsies??!

Mustang pickup sounds great on the short scale setting. Awesome mid bias and can get pretty angry at times. Tight and punchy across genres. That’s why it’s so loved by so many.

That the one pickup you have not tried and it’s the first I recommended.
