Nice! Wicked pickups too
Very nice. Congratulations!
That’s a beauty! I might just need to put one of those on my list. Enjoy!
Yep, worth checking out for sure!
Dom er mycket bra
@Wombat-metal just be aware of the weight of the Model T. I was looking earlier in the year and couldn’t find anything under 11lbs.
This might not be an issue to you. It looks awesome though.
Hey! Swedish Härligt!
Living right next to it… Copenhagen
So it’s like a SBMM lol
My Sire weighs over 10 and doesn’t bother me
Jeg elsker København og Denmark! Grew up in Malmö!
Cool! Most of my Swedish friends live in or around Lund though
Seems dangerous, I watched Bron / Broen
OUCH, that seems a bit expensive, what would that be in USD, or is that USD you gave me? This one was like $349 I think, and I think it might have a hard case with it, but I might be thinking of one I saw on Reverb that came with the case.
Reverb had one in great shape that was priced about the same, and the one that was a bit more used (If I remember correctly) was about $500 or $600
I think these are as old as Y2k, maybe a little prior to or a little after. I don’t know when they stated or stopped, but the ones on Reverb were both early 2k models.
These feel really nice, and look fantastic, I wonder if they just rather build everything in this shape with a Preamp, and not offer beautiful looking Passive basses with just the Volume and Tone model.
Yeah, I guess it is (see @howard’s recent comments on prices in the EU ) and, yes, I was giving it in USD, but I’d be happy to use Krugerrands next time
It turned out to be an old listing anyway… the bass was long sold. (Not that I really need yet another bass right now!)
Not that you dont, not need one tho.
I sold my 12 pound fretless Harley Benton Jazz bass locally and found this beauty on Reverb. It’s an Ibanez SR500 that has been converted to fretless. I had a set of D’addario Chromes lying around so I put those on it. The neck needed adjusting and the strings were really high but that was easily fixed. I also added side dots on the fret marks at 1-3-5-7 etc… because the stage at our church can be pretty dark. It sounds great and only weighs 7.2 pounds!
Just got the schecter yesterday. She is amazing. My Ibanez has been so good to me. She is so forgiving and just wants to shred. What Ann amazing choice for a learning investment. In my opinion, you couldn’t do better in that price range.
The 5 string archer is a side project. She’s a little hard to get to know, I got her cheap off Craigslist, but she’s got game for sure. Going to upgrade the electronics and make her active with a preamp.
Just remember: not every bass needs to be active Plenty of awesome tone from passive basses!!
I posted about my new Ibanez SR500EPB in the GAS thread. It arrived last night, and I spent some time tinkering with it and all that. Very happy with the purchase, so much so that I’m probably going to sell my Carvin… I just don’t see myself playing it much, as the new Ibanez hits all my sweet spots. Anyway, here are my two keepers:
On the right you see my trusty SR300. On the left is my new SR500EPB. Interesting story between the two: I did some serial number lookups to find that my trusty SR300 was made in the Indonesia factory in May 2009. I also found that the new SR500EPB was made in the Indonesia factory in May 2019, exactly 10 years later.
Nice! SR’s are great.
I’m a fan.
