I hear ya @eric.kiser.

Even in person it kind of looks3D and textured, you almost expect it to feel soft to the touch.

I agree Joe. That metallic red on the Yamaha was the primary reason why I wanted it

I gathered my basses together for a family photo:

On the left, a Peavey Millennium J-bass bought used (34" scale).
On the right, a Squier Classic Vibe Jaguar PJ (32" scale)
In the middle, the Hofner Ignition violin bass (30" scale).
I switch back and forth between them every day; I probably play the Peavey and the Squier more than the Hofner, though.

I love the Peaveys, they’re such a joy to play. I have a Milestone JJ, and I love it. Nice looking family.

Yamaha does Candy Apple Red very well

My first bass was a red TRBX304. Loved it.

When I pulled up your post I saw your screen name and a picture of your new bass and thought, that’s not blue.:joy::rofl:
That is a really nice looking Jazz Bass.

Lol whoops!…got extremely lucky at a local shop. Soon as I saw it online I had to go up and get it. A jazz bass is what I ironically wanted to start out with…but had to settle for the Washburn. But now I got a precision and a Jazz Bass, which I’m happy with =3
