Tastes vary. Five out of seven of my basses/guitars have been red
Very true @howard and taste can change as you progress on your journey.
I really liked the Fender colours to begin with and now I’m liking natural wood. Who knows what could happen when the wind changes direction
Nice score @T_dub, hope you dig it
Thank you, @John_E ! I agree - it’s gorgeous, especially when the light hits it just right. Perfect for b&w photography.
Perfect - I’m in the right place. Thank you for the warm welcome!
Thank you, @JerryP ! I think I have already practiced for more hours in the 20-ish days I’ve had this bass than in the 3 years I played violin as a kid
Thank you, @Wombat-metal ! Good to know my initial feelings are not unusual.
So true. Thank goodness for microshifting
Great get here @T_dub
Going to be a great bass for you.
I do love the gold pickups on red, but also love the white covers with the red.
Another “busy door day” here with the arrival of flame Aerodyne #4 (3 more to go).
Came without a pickguard and I had the original from its blue sister so done and done.
Stream #3 is here for me.
The colors look nicer in person, warm like old wood. She has a few nicks and scratches, just from use. Character. But she is gorgeous. Probably won’t get to play her until tomorrow
Also
These came in, and my headphones as @Al1885 suggested. Lot to do now, and I have to go to my lesson now. Oh life is hard.
Still nothing compared to @John_E haul. I would be envious if I weren’t so content.
Wow busy door day at your house for sure!
You have a TON to do now!
That bass looks super awesome, and the C4 can take a year of your life easily if you let it.
As my kids say - “nice haul”.
We need a family portrait please!
Gorgeous looking fretboard too.
The shine on the back of the Fender reflecting the carpet pattern makes it look see through @John_E !
The Stream looks gorgeous @Wombat-metal
Quick family portrait
Looking good

Little touches. There are metal fittings where the screws go in, so you’re not wearing out wood. A velcro strap to secure the battery (I always change batteries on a new bass now), and a red ribbon, so all you do is pull up to get the battery out. The back of the neck matches the body. Really like the finish.
Rosewood I believe. I’ll have to get a shot from the side; the fretboard ends in a gentle slope, rounded off instead of the normal verticle edge.
Things like this are really awesome.
You never forget those little features.
Rolled fretboard edge? Awesome feature.
ESP makes good stuff.
Well done!
We did that for my band in college too. Fun! Loud! ![]()
We had two that we were driving from a large stereo amp.
