…and these matches. And this lamp. That’s all I need. And this chair.
Fortunately, I sit on 2 1/2 acres, so my neighbors can’t really hear much. They hear the drums though lol. Luckily I’m surrounded by some old hippies who dig it.
If I’m being honest, and at the risk of sounding older than I am, I’m kind of enjoying the lower volume and smooth jam lol.
Nothing wrong with that!
Not a bug, but a feature.
Although opera is not my thing it still is a high standard compared to the selection I get to hear.
I’ve only been playing Bass about 3 months, and I’m already on my second one. Sterling Musicman Stingray ray4.
It’s a slippery slope
exceptionally wise choice
Good choice! Congrats!
I wish I would have gotten a Ray 4 instead of the 4HH.
I like the H better, too. Seems counterintuitive but the single MM pup is the iconic StingRay sound.
im a purist too, but i wouldn’t beat yourself up over it. the HH is nice too and if i get another MM it will likely be a HS or HH.
In retrospect I agree.
Although the tonal options are cool, the whole point of this bass was to maybe one day slap the $hit out of it. It’s true what they say that the second pickup kinda gets in your way. All that said, I’m good with the one I have.
I have both, but honestly I prefer playing on the neck pickup of the HH.
So take out the neck pickup and change the pickguard! 50 bucks and done.
Not a bad idea.
Just save the pieces you take out… pickup, selector switch, pickguard… in case you ever want to put it back and sell it. And pickguards can be as cheap as 20 bucks depending on what and where you buy. May as well spice up the knobs while you’re at it!
Just catching up a bit here…
Wow. Sorry if I’m slow on the uptake, here, and missed some discussion, but what’s the story on that bass? The white/cream looks awesome with the blue and brown (dark red?) beveling. I assume it’s a black pickguard with the plastic still on it?
Nice looking bass.
That is a gorgeous instrument. I’m still not the biggest fan of the whole “cut the pickguard short and use a metal control plate” approach, but the gold with the clear pickguard showing the wood underneath is fantastic.
Those are ALL yours? That’s not a Fender marketing shot or something?
Pickguard is silver. Replica of the bass Steve Harris plays, down to the mohagony body
