I honestly like dark tort on dark sunburst, not clownburst.
And on daphne blue.

Tort also works well on Black, Oly White, Cream, Red, Surf Green, and Tobacco Burst, among a lot of other finishes. At least, IMO.

I get that it’s not for everyone, but it is for me! Whether it’s salami barf to someone else or not. Lol. Now, if it was a pineapple pickguard on a pizza bass… I’m out!

Here’s my war horses.
Black is Ibanez SR300EB-WK Soundgear. An active bass i use when i feel a bit punk. It’s on B-tune so it works in rock and metal too though. Bought it as new around year ago.
Other one is Warvick Corvette Standard 5 from year 2003. I have it’s original gigbag, lock etc. I recently had a full maintenance for it. It’s jack did cut sound time to time so local professional went through all the technical things of it. Now it has nice metal tone, just what Corvette should produce.
