Been wondering about that - the stingrays I’ve been eyeing all come with a mono case as opposed to the hard shell. I just keep thinking “you’re asking 2500-3k for a bass and no hard case”. I don’t ever play with other folks and my basses never leave the music room. My whole need case is based on the fact that I relocate for work about every three years.
The mono cases are pretty sturdy? Would you trust a mover to move your stingray in it?

Almost did. Got the fender solely on the weight. When I was a drummer one of the bassist had an orange and it was too heavy lol

The mono cases are pretty incredible. Seems like a compromise from a hard case but everybody I know who does extended traveling and gigging uses a mono or something similar more than a hard case.

It’s an upgrade from a hard case in both protection and lightweight. It’s definitely more premium than their abs hard case.

Yes, I am on my way to turn myself in right now.
It will be a few weeks to months before I arrive at my permeant location at FCI Terminal Island in Long Beach, CA.
When I get there, My folks will have all the info to give Jesse, and he can post it in another thread.
He can also collect a email addresses to relay to me so I can keep in contact with those of you that would like too.
Pornos not allowed in prison, but that does not apply to BASS PORN, so sending bass porn will certainly help keep me going.
Thanks to all of you out there, my bass family, we will continue this journey together when I get back from this side trip.
