These two Roscoes are going to be my main basses going forward. After a misstep with the first fretted Roscoe I bought, I couldn’t be happier with the Signature series I bought to replace it. I’m over the moon with both of these, thought I’d share a couple of pics.
The fretted bass on the left has a flamed koa top and matching front/back headstock over a swamp ash body. Wenge neck with maple runners. Bird’s eye maple fretboard. Roscoe custom Bartolini quad coils, Bartolini pre-amp, and a Sadowsky VTC. It’s a Signature model and has the carved top.
The fretless bass on the right has a flamed maple top over mahogany body with a maple neck and Diamondwood fingerboard. The inlaid lines are aluminum. It’s a Standard-Plus model, so no carved top. Single-coil Bartolinis in a bridge-biased location.
They both sound and play incredibly and were bought used (at a substantial savings I might add) though they are both flawless. So happy!
Both of these are the Century body.
