Show Us Your Basses (Part 2)

My Harley Benton MV-4JB in Burgundy Mist.
$225 shipped from Thomann in Germany (plus shipping, usually around $85 to East Coast, U.S.A.) Fender has nothing on these beauties.
If Fender tried to put out one like like this, I guarantee that it would be commanding a price of over $2,000 on Reverb.

I have the same Jaguar, and I also love it. And as you say it is NOT the one reviewed in Josh’s video. That one was the older full scale Modified Vintage series with a crappy boost circuit. This one is the newer Classic Vibe series, medium scale with stacked volume and tone knobs. And sadly seems out of production now. I am thinking of upgrading the pickups with a set from Fralin, but I will definitely not part with it.

My two Fenders. A 2008 American Standard Sunburst Jazz, and a 2025 American Professional II Precision Miami Blue. I love them both. Hard to capture the real color of the Miami Blue as I see it in person more Turquoise ish.

Yeah, that’s my bad. I had my paws all over it and hadn’t thought to wipe it down before a quick picture. I got it out of the box, put my strap and beer bottle “strap locks” on and went to town.

Steve Harris has fingerprints all over his bass! He even put fingerprints all over my Steve Harris Fender when he signed it!

I’m trying to figure out that headstock, is it blurred?

My wife did before I could stop her! I had a ASG series Trooper guitar that she had him sign at the same time, she wiped both down at the hotel that night when I went to get ice!

Sire

Absolutely. That’s an unmistakable Sire headstock

Gustav makes beautiful basses. Thanks for turning me on to Lignum. He did a fantastic job on my 30” 5-string fretless Spring bass. I went with a reverse split-P Delano pickup because their single dual coil 5-string pickup was just too honking big for me. Here’s mine.

My Harley Benton MV-4JB in Burgundy Mist.

Nice one. Sometimes I curse that Thomann is just 43 miles away for me.

With these two guys I‘m trying to start „again“. With two kids now (3and 4 years old) it’s time to be a good example to ignite the fire of making music. After playing the trombone and Sax in my school years, I’m now in the rhythm section to be the metronome behind…

I‘m so excited right now!
