Show Us Your Basses (Part 2)

Interesting it looks like a vintage tuners. Are they reversed winding?

No. They are Gotoh Res-O-Lites. No neck dive.

Traded one of my Fender P basses for a Dingwall NG3 in deep forest green. It’s pretty versatile!

Very nice. That’s one of my favorite Dingwall colours.

Extremely cool. Congrats.

NG3 probably has the meanest pickup set. All 3 play together is quite a unique experience.

Congrats @Paul

Thank you but given your user name, maybe it’s bias, lol.

I put the Atelier slim neck pickup cover and I couldn’t be happier. The John East Preamp is superb and put this beast on steroid.

Deng… like a Thunder Harem right there.

Oh yeah, the John East preamps are superb.
I’m on the fence whether John East or Glokenklang are the top dog, but both are right up there at the pinnacle.

I wish that they swap the function of the push/pull knob and the 2 way switch. I’d much rather have the 2 way switches as active passive than the bridge pickup selectors.

Their drop in preamp for the regular jazz bass is at the top of my list on my next mod/ built.

I’m trying out the Audere on my Jazz. We’ll see

So far the best passive I’ve tried is the Fralin pickup and preamp. Active all have been quite good especially EMG vintage. Sonar and Aguilar are pretty great as well.

Fender seems to perform slightly below the aftermarket at about the same price.
