This was a quick trip and so no Sweetwater. That is slated for a while extra day there in Nov.
I’m actuall working at our plant down in Austin, about an hour south of INDY. So when I go back out I’m heading out Saturday and staying the night in Ft. Wayne to do Sweetwater Sunday. Then head down to Seymour where we are staying.
Fun fact. John Mellencamp is from Seymour. It’s the “I was born in a small town” town.
From what I gather they have tons out inventory out, and these “stations” where you can check the vast inventory in the warehouses. If you want to try something in the warehouse, they will go snag it and bring it to you. At least that’s what the tour video on YouTube suggested.
All the good authentic Mexican joints (where all the Mexicans eat) have pictures on the menu. Just came back from having lunch at one. Beware of the Mexican joint without pictures on the menu I say.

We only have one White Castle in the entire state of Arizona, and it’s in Scottsdale 30 miles from me. I miss having them on every corner like I did growing up in Chicago.
All this talk about Mexican food reminded me of that trip to Tijuana I took with an Army buddy of mine 20 some years ago. We knew we shouldn’t of had those street corner tacos, but they looked and smelled so good! Long story short, my buddy’s cornhole involuntary gasped for air like a Gold Fish for about a month after. Me, I walked away unscathed. I think the parasites I got in Central America took care of whatever was in those tacos. Good old times!
While building that factory in Tecate, Mexico, I never ever ever got sick on the food there. I went to up LA/Hollywood for a weekend when my company treated me to a bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel for my wedding anniversary during the project, I got extreme food poisoning at a seafood restaurant on Rodeo Drive…
