HI @Samantha.Cooper I’m currently in Sight Reading Level Vol.1, Level 3 (almost done). I recently shifted from playing on an acoustic bass guitar with a 30” scale to an electric, with a 34” scale and since the frets are further apart on the longer scale, all of my ‘muscle memory’ was just slightly off, by about 1/2” up in the first 6 or so frets. I literally had to go back to level 1 and spend a few hours working back through every string like a beginner. I’d say I spent an hour or so a day for about 4 days re-training my fingers and now I’m back and progressing. So…in addition to all the excellent advice from Mike and Gio (and consider I”m a new bass player) sometimes it’s also helpful to just go back to the earlier stuff and ensure that’s all still ‘under your fingers’, and it’s a good way to eliminate mistakes you may be training in.
