Luke Appleton the bassist for Iced Earth and guitarist for Absolva also teaches guitar and bass and has posted quite a few backing tracks in different music styles and keys that he uses with students. He lists the chord progression of the tracks and suggests some scales to practices or use to create a bass line for each one. They are listed under his Playlists>Backing tracks

Thats my go to when I get frustrated trying to learn something. I say F it and go create see what sounds good. Has helped me to learn to write music too when I put together a cool riff I want to remember.
