Song 1 - "Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd

So… finally!

Now just have to fix the jittery video for the next song…

Stay Tuned!

Fantastic job @JPHaggerty

Don’t fix the video! Very Max Headroom. Make it your signature thing.

Wait… you REMEMBER Max Headroom?!

We must be old… LOL

We are, and I am sad for the ‘kids’ that don’t know the beauty of Max Headroom.

Hey @GanglyCloth,

As others said try to keep time with you left foot so the bass is not moving all over. You can also stand and it makes it less noticeable if you want to use your right foot. Good job!

Great job! Glad you are taking part in this. I can tell you are really enjoying yourself and that’s what it’s all about (well, and learning!). Sounded pretty flawless to me so don’t have any words of wisdom. Lovely tone too. And yes, I also know about Max Headroom! If you need any help figuring out what happened to the video then I’m sure there are plenty of people on here willing to chip in some advice.

Nice job @JPHaggerty,
couple small tonal changes when playing at the 12th and 10th fret, but besides those good consistent tone throughout, nice bass :+1:
keep up the good work,
Cheers Brian

Thanks, Brian!

Yeah, I was trying to keep it consistent throughout, but…

Great effort @Gigio and thanks for posting. We hope to see more from you. I hope this comment won’t discourage you, so please take it as helpful advice. Your timing was way off (unless I’m hearing it wrong). the tone sounded like it was good, but it was hard to tell with the out of sync timing.
Keep it up though! Everyday in every way, you get better and better.

Hi @Gigio
Great that you have joined the fun here.
Your video won’t play for me though.

You’re very welcome @Gigio. We are all here to help one another in any way we can to become the best bass players we can be. Keep in mind always that the bass is a rhythm instrument, so timing is of the utmost importance.
Rock on!

Hi again Gigio, I was able to see the video after all.
note: if you make your video ‘public’ vs. ‘unlisted’ we will all be able to play the video in the forum stream directly.

As @PamPurrs mentioned, the timing vs. the backing track needs some work, but that will come with experience in recording yourself. There are a few threads here for that.
However, there are some parts of the song where you get back in sync, so I think this is more a matter of getting lost in the song. This is very easy to do when you are starting out, so don’t worry, just know it is a consideration.
Did you know this song before playing it?
If not, have a listen to it on YouTube over and over a bit.
Listen for key words in the lyrics to help you come in with certain notes or phrases, this is a trick I do all the time.

Aside from timing vs. the track, your playing is good.
Your fretting and plucking hands looks very comfortable and have good technique!
Go congrats on that, and congrats on your frist post, keep up the good work man!

Yeah, I thought I read this in your earlier post. Are you playing without the backing track? Or at least a drum track? That would make it quite hard to play in time…

Hi!! I used the noteflight partiture in extras section, I tried to play while running.
