Recorded this over a month ago, back on December 6th.
This was a good lesson on chugging, and editing it revealed I should work on my articulation a bit. During practice I sure learned some stuff about not letting my attention wander. But overall it was nice to play something that made me focus on timing and accuracy more so than fingering. And a great example of how a very simple bass line can be plenty to support a song.

Greetings from the road! We’re recording from our holiday condo in St. Louis for the next few days. 
Song #10 With or Without You. This is one of wifey’s favorite songs and so cool to do this way. It’s a lesson in concentration and consistent chugging for sure. Lemme tell ya, if you lose focus for a split second, it can get away from ya. That’s what happened to me - I started thinking about how awesome it was to be here with my son, outside & recording on a rooftop, and I goofed up the chord progression.
U2 - With or Without You (Bass cover)
I have a new found respect for all you road warriors. This is way more difficult than from the comforts of home.

I plan to. I have a loooong way to go, but I have my sight set on finishing all 50. I’m a month in with 11 down so far. They’re getting harder though. lol

Enjoyed playing this and was good to test how my stamina has grown. I lost timing slightly during the swing, but I think I got it back.
I was a Bit nervous sharing this one as not as good and would have liked but still kind of a bench mark I can go back to later.

You did great. You demonstrate a nice touch and maintain fluidity while keeping in the groove. (Mostly ) It’s hard to stay focused the whole time during this song - that’s part of the challenge.
The admins and members have built an incredible community here. I wholeheartedly believe this is a safe space to share and be a little vulnerable in order to receive honest feedback.

There is no worry or nervous in learning or bass playing. Just enjoy the journey. You know where you messed up, that’s half the learning. You recovered and overall did a great job. Nice tone and mix. It’s a boring song to play and easy to lose the groove, which is why it’s in the challenge. Keep em coming.

Good job! This song seems simple, but it’s easy to get tripped up if you lose focus just for a moment. I assume that’s what happened - you were out of rhythm at the end. It’s difficult to stay tuned in on this one.

Thanks for the feedback! You’re right, I messed up the re-entry; I just checked, and it turns out I thought the “little drum break” was on the fourth beat, but it’s actually on the third! So, I came back in too early 
It’s definitely trickier than it looks; it requires a lot of consistency and stamina.
I kind of rushed through it—I’ll give it another go sometime—but I have to admit, I really don’t like this song at all 
I’d hate to leave it like that, so I used my lunch break to redo it 
I think it’s better…
