Dang there is a reason no one has done this one yet.
Cannot get enough practice for a good take without total crampup of my picking hand.
I did find a much easier tab on Ultimate Guitar if anyone is interested, PM me.

Here is another example of why bass is the best instrument. This song stays on a single “B” note for the first 2 and 1/2 minutes and its still fun to play. The palm muting and down picking are so important here to capture that Cliff Williams thing. I had plenty of right hand cramping like @John_E mentioned. Had to concentrate on keeping my picking hand loose and experiment with some different picking angles. Palm muting comes pretty natural to me on guitar, but I found it a little awkward on bass. Thanks for checking it out!

This sounds absolutely perfecto to me @dlamson13!
I was trying to finger pluck this but think I will move to a pick, seems like a better plan, esp with getting nice clean notes.

Thanks John!
Generally I like playing fingerstyle better than picking, and I don’t think it sounds bad that way either. I was watching some live footage and he seems to always pick at the bridge while muting with the edge of his hand. It was one of those fun moments of enlightenment where you go “oh, that’s the sound I was looking for!”

Well…I broke my rule about not buying the JMJ Bass before finishing the list. I must say though it plays really nicely on this! I didn’t have any cramping issues, we took it nice and relaxed through the opening salvo of this song. I also used a pretty thin pick (.50mm).

Watching it back, I find it funny that I kept switching up my picking method but it seemed to work. Once again, no sheet music in front of me on this one.

Thunderstruck, this was a lot harder than I would believe it to be.
