Song 5 - "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC

Thanks! I did hear it while I was recording but I told myself: Who am I to say AC/DC is off key! Lol

Couldn’t you put in the correct track, and re export the file with the right song in the background. Shouldn’t be too much work. Just a thought tho, I like it just fine how it is. Guess my ears are not that advanced yet. If ever

You’re right, if we are going to do something let’s do it right!

Song re-uploaded with retuned track and original post updated with new link.

Almost ready to record this. Had a rough time after the vaccine last week, but glad I got it.

BTW, here is a good video if you just want to practice playing along to it. Tab is 95% the same as Josh’s. This is not me playing. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have been cursing this song for a while and tonight it finally came together.
Also been cursing that I committed to standing for this one to @PamPurrs, but in the end it was good to get out of the chair. First time standing. I know it shouldn’t be a big deal, but it was. I think it will be easier now that I have done it once.

Figured the Bello bass was appropriate for this song.

I used an SVT sim on the Studio 40 and 100% P pickup with the tone rolled down.

Did you post it on YouTube? They’re really bad about the copyright stuff

@John_E that was friggin’ awesome! Your timing and tone were right on throughout the song. Also, I love the tone of that ESP. I can’t wait to get mine.
Did you put flats on it or are you playing the strings that came with it?

Thank you @PamPurrs!
I took the strings it came with off and put on a set of MJC Ironworks rounds that I had.
I have them on my other ESP LTD active P/J and liked them.
They feel good but might try out the LaBella RX Stainless rounds (which I have on my Yammy 5er and really like as well).

Another one in the bag, only 45 more to go.
Bass > ZoomB1 Four > Focusrite > Garage band. Used the clean AMPG setting in Zoom as Cliff doesn’t seem to use much in the way of effects.

Once again thanks for the challenge. Enjoyed learning this one and forcing myself to stand up is starting to pay dividends.

Cheers Amigos
