Enjoying the cold weather with the crewđ¤
Ah. Two bouledogues. Weâve got a ton of them here in Arcachon. In the U.S., theyâre called âFrench bulldogsâ.
In Germany they are also called French Bulldogs. They are great dogs but overbred. Itâs hard to see them suffer and couldnât do anything to change the situationâŚ
Yeah I feel really bad about those breeds. We have a corgi and itâs the same problem, over and inbred. They want the legs to be so short the poor dog cannot keep itself off the ground. Luckily our breeder strives more for the health of the race than awards.
What a sweetheart. You are a hero.
I googled them already after I saw the picture of your corgi sitting and waiting for you in the bathroom , and realised they have also big health problems. Chuchu (14) is ok, she has both knees operated but has no other problems. Monkey (8) canât breath, we had 2 surgeries but still problems. We have a good night when we can sleep 4h without him fighting for air.
Hearted. I trust that you understand that itâs a caring heart.
Here he just rescued before the surgery.
Here he just brought at home after two weeks hospitalization.
Good on you, man. The boy deserves the very best.
That reminds me that I need to hit up Amazon and see about getting our older Schnauzer a new walking sweater. His has⌠âshrunkâ a bit from last winter.
Beautiful. Looks like a picture perfect match for my two boys. Even the red sweater.
Behold Pig, The Cat. This image is from some years back and, sadly, Pig is no longer with us. He lived a long and happy life with people who loved him, and when his time came he exited the world with dignity. We all should be so lucky.
Pig lived to hunt, and any creature that managed to walk, crawl, slither, skitter, or fly into the yard quickly learned a painfulâŚvery often finalâŚlesson as to the power, speed, and fighting prowess of a male blue point Siamese.
In this photo it is clear he is thinking about slaying something. I suspect that expression is one more than a few mice / birds / garter snakes saw just before the lights, as they say, went out.
beautiful cat !
Check out Canada Pooch. Great products. I have purchased several over the years. Not the least expensive, but high quality. Shipping to France adds quite a bit of cost for me, but they have products I canât find here. Way back, I also bought some dog sweaters on Etsy. All 3 of my boys are wearing them here.
Hereâs a link to the Canada Pooch harness puffer. I bought 3. I maybe messed up the measurements a bit. The smallest one didnât fit Peanut, my Chihuahua, so he got the middle sized one. Which meant that Ollie, my Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound got the largest one. Sparky, my poodle/Jack Russell is still wearing his Etsy sweater.
