Don’t fret, :joy:

Ball park is good enough. It’s best not to be too OCD, about this stuff. Don’t go too low, it may feel good for a spell but there’s a lot you’ll have to live with when it’s low.

@4stringed_butcher, once you get the hang of it, a simple set up is pretty easy. There are some great videos on YouTube that tell you how to do it. I’ve never actually measured string height, but tend to use feel and my ears. What I mean by that is, I set the neck relief first (flat) then adjust the bridge saddles until the string height feels ok over the 12 fret. I then check for string buzz when fretting frets 1 to 5’ish and fine tune the saddle height so any buzz goes away. Once done, I’ll adjust intonation. I re-set up a bass a couple of days ago doing this. It took about 20 minutes. Ok, this isn’t a ‘master technician’ way of doing it, and if I’ve had bigger issues with a bass requiring nut work or shimming, I’ve gone to a local guitar tech, but for simple stuff, it kind’a does the job.

Like others have said you don’t need specs, however if your a specs person and want a starting point - use the online fender bass specs - same for Squier.
