I have shoulder issues and will be getting surgery in my fretting hand shoulder. Any recommendations on straps that are wide and short? I’m a small dude most straps are so long!
I’ve used the 4” Neo for the past 4 years. It’s super comfy. Is 38” too long?

I’ve got one of the Levy 4” cotton straps. It’s kind of long but I like my bass high, like when I’m sitting, bass is on my lap, but weight is mostly on the strap, not my lap (also, I’m 6’5” for comparison). It’s pretty good about keeping the instrument in place by friction, too, which I like, helps with my own shoulder and neck problems.

The CFG Zero-Gravity straps have small and large options.
I have their standard version guitar and bass straps on four of my basses.
I’ve got the Levy’s MSSB2-4-BLK 4 1/2-inch Wide Leather Bass Strap with foam padding and it’s great.

Thomann (FR/DE) have basically the entire line in stock. The 3” wide leather straps are 58 € and the 4.5” ones are 74 €.
