Hey! I’m really stuck on this particular bar (60-61, 64-65) of a song, i can play some similar fast stuff but something about this just lags my brain out, it’s in 4/4 190bpm and my brain just keeps switching between regular plucking and economy plucking. 50/60% speed i might be able to get it, anything above that and it just immediately falls apart
190 is cooking along. I struggle with the same issue as you; bouncing from the open E to the C and D on the A at speed, for example. Hopefully someone chimes in with some wisdom.
Would help if you said what the song was.
The boring advice is to play it at a speed that you’re capable of, and work your way up from there.

If it was a little slower, I’d pluck the E string with my index finger and the A with my middle, but it’s too fast (for me anyway).
You could just try playing the whole line on the E string.
So it would look like:
-0-0-10-0-8-10-0-10-0-10-0-8-0-10-8
And then move back to the A string on the final beat of the 2nd bar.
I can’t even imagine attempting eighth notes ands sixteenth notes at 190 bpm. I’d struggle to sustain quarter notes at that speed. Love to hear it when you get it.
Sustained eighth and sixteenth notes at 190 - just use a pick. I wouldn’t even consider playing this fingerstyle. The real band plays it fingerstyle (she’s good!) but there’s no way I would

felt obligated to not give up on it lol
got the whole song on 0.75 fingerstyle, just got very sluggish after minute 2
muting is still kinda off in places but still makes for a good 6 month progress mark for me, will keep coming back to it to get it full speed one day
