Sweetwater ... Lordy

Maybe you guys could send some of that “cut-throat” capitalism to good ole “socialist” Europe, so we also get “discounts”

On second thought… nah, I guess we’re good :stuck_out_tongue:

More like price fixing here in the U.S.

The biggest benefit I can see is the ability to return items without having to pay shipping.

Yes for the first time, I really don’t want anything new but I already have pretty much everything I need and even a lot of stuff I haven’t even tried yet. Also, if I keep buying plugins I’m going to be homeless and eating out of dumpsters  Scaler 2 released another sweet update so I’ve got something new to play with for free!

I do want to get a cello though… I think that may have to wait for spring

I haven’t been called by a Sweetwater ‘Sales Engineer’ in a really long time. I had stopped ordering from there because every time I placed an order some dude would call me to make sure I “had everything I needed” and at one point got so frustrated I told them I don’t need a call, just ship my order ASAP vs delaying it while you wait to hear from me, get a hold of me, etc.

I started using them again and haven’t heard from them like the old days. I thought it had stopped. Maybe they left a note in my account back then :joy:

Meanwhile Musician’s Friend (Guitar Center) will fairly regularly send me emails asking how my experience with “Chris McDonald” was. I only dealt with him once and he was kind of a dick. I haven’t spoken with him or email exchanged anything since. Idk if it’s a glitch or if he’s drumming up commissions or what.

Haha! I bought two sets of acoustic guitar strings and string pegs and you’d think they were my best friend! But, that’s ok. In this world of dog eat dog, I find Sweetwater’s “stalking” very refreshing………I’m considering selling my EBMM StingRay 5 to get the money for a 4-string…”simplifying and downsizing …so I’m looking forward to the “attention” I get from Sweetwater. Plus, for some weird reason I really enjoy the warm feeling I get when they send candy with the order.

Thank the clever marketing director at Sweetwater for that sweet stroke of genius. :candy: :candy: :candy:

And then scorn the MFer that consistently keeps Atomic Fireballs out of the bags :triumph:

Man, I didn’t know that was thing. I always get at least one fireball.

YouTuber Chords of Orion made a video/song lamenting not getting any for a while. I got one and sent him a message that they were back.

Last two orders have been fireball-less :sob:

Well, that sucks.

I bet if you were to call your “Tim” or my rep, Chris, he would make you a sweet deal and send you a bunch for free.

What the hell, it’s worth a shot.

I have yet to place an order with Sweetwater, but I’m already thinking about the Lemon Drops and Milk Duds I could have had…

If you need anything bass, wait until Black Friday to order. Sweetwater might not always advertise the absolute lowest price, but they’ll very likely match any competitor price if you ask them to. And, as has been mentioned, their customer service is off the chain. You have been warned.

What’s your reps last name?

Yeah there has been a run of root beer barrels of late.
Supply chain issues, lol.
