The Gauntlet ( Personal Song Challenges )

That, and honestly its another way for people to perhaps discover music they hadn’t considered before… not entirely a bad thing either

Speaking of, I looked at Rick Astley again today and I’m still not ready to take that one on. One day though… one day I’m going to rick roll all of you.

I do this all the time solo when learning songs but thank God no one can hear me. Live would be humbling

We’d get a request, some are oldies some are Thai pop, current and oldies(90s) some are just out of my scope of imagination my keyboard guy had to shout out the chords. One time the artist of that song was in the audience. It was a cold night but I was sweating like crazy. :joy:

That would be seriously stressful … LOL!

…you have a Lignum. I shouldn’t be shocked, really. What a beautiful instrument.

They’re the ones who made the sub-octave bass for Nate Navarro, which is just an awesome, awesome bass.

Didn’t I bring that to the meet? That Fretless was the 8th instrument they made first to the US.

I actually have 3. The Fretless neck on the short scale Sterling was also from Lignum.

I don’t challenge anyone , except myself

My personal go is “Blues For Alice” a Charlie Parker tune at tempo any key

Mostly I will fail the first go (20 years on )

Hahahah! LOL?

My first reaction: shock!
My 2nd reaction: horror!

But there is no time frame, right? And it’s time to play the fretless like a fretless.

Do you have the tabs?

Can I challenge you back?

All that Brand X stuff should be right up your allee, @Al1885. It has those “nervous” bass lines…

And I didn’t dare you to this:
