The only ones I think are cute are Rick Nielsenās, because he does those for precisely the image of an over the top multi-necked monstrosity.
Has the top one got 4 bass and 4 guitar strings ?

I am fully down with my favorite basses being called freaks by people who just donāt get it, though.
I love my SBV to death. I would rather own this bass than any product Fender, Musicman, or Gibson have ever made.
Oooh! I just recently saw a Yamaha SBV500 on Reverb and just fell in love with the aesthetic. In your opinion, how do they play? Because Iām seriously considering getting one of these elusive little buggers.

Personally I love it! It has a fantastic neck and a super solid neck joint. Sounds great too.
@terb has a SBV500, he can tell you about his.
There is a minor amount of neck dive but nothing major, a good strap eliminates it.
I absolutely love the look and feel.

yeah, I totally agree. this is an excellent instrument, the build quality being equivalent to a MIA Fender or the current years, in my opinion. even the pickups are really great.

I just posted a cover song where I use the SBV550, if you want to hear it in action
All right, hereās my first for 2022. As usual itās my bandmate and I covering the song from scratch. This is our cover of Trisomie 21ās āThe Last Songā.
[The Last Song (Trisomie 21 cover)]
Trisomie 21 are one of the original post-punk/coldwave bands from France. This song is from their 1986 album āChapter IV - Le Je-Ne-Sais-Quoi Et Le Presque Rienā. Great band, still active today!
I did the bass, keys, drums, vocals, and one of the guitar parts; my bandmate did the bulk of the guiā¦

They really tried hard to make it unique. And you know what? They succeeded in spades. Now, tasteful or functional are a different thing entirely.

The Lernaean Hydra or Hydra of Lerna (Greek: ĪĪµĻĪ½Ī±įæĪ± į½Ī“ĻĪ±, LernaĆ®a HĆ½dra), more often known simply as the Hydra, is a serpentine water monster in Greek and Roman mythology. Its lair was the lake of Lerna in the Argolid, which was also the site of the myth of the DanaĆÆdes.
