Thank goodness it’s not just me. I really dislike the Danelectro’s too.
But I like a lot of the other basses in this thread. I generally like unusual basses much more than the Fender look

Agree. I really like this one.
I mean, when I think ugly, I think Fender with a bad burst

I am fully down with my favorite basses being called freaks by people who just don’t get it, though.
I love my SBV to death. I would rather own this bass than any product Fender, Musicman, or Gibson have ever made.

Fender have had some bad colours for sure. I think Antigua is up there for the worst colour ever to be used on any instrument. They must have got it cheap somewhere. It’s the only logical explanation.
