This is one of the issues with SOME 5-string basses.
The B string is always floppier just due to size, but, how floppy varies with scale length and string choice.

Your bass is a 35” scale so that helps. I’d chalk it up to the strings that came on it. Gauge does make a difference too.

Yep John nailed it. 35" is the perfect scale for a 5-string IMO; you’ll still want a B string 0.130 or bigger though, in my experience. I prefer .135 for 34".
