I started playing the bass as a teenager over 20 years ago. I don’t remember if I was any good, but I was completely self taught and rarely used an amp, so I probably had loads of bad habits. I played for a couple of years but stopped when I went to university.
Last year I decided to pick it back up. I worked through the B2B course in a couple of months around August and I’ve been working on my technique and theory since then. So here are all my videos so far. I really feel like I’ve improved a lot since doing the B2B course, it was a great base to start building on.
My goal is to be able to play jazz. I’m working on my theory but I’m not at a level yet where I can improvise. I’d love to play with other people some time but I suck at socialising.
Recording cover videos has been so useful for me to document my progress but also because it forces you to practise a song until you get it right rather than just moving on to something else.
