Trace Elliot Elf Question

Hello, I have a Trace Elliot Elf 1x8 combo and a TE Elf 1x10 cab to go with it. For such a small lightweight amp, it gets pretty loud. But not quite loud enough for some of my gigs. My question is whether I should up grade the combo to the 1x10 or get a second cabinet to use with what I have. I think in most circumstances the answer would be get another cab. But the thing is, my 1x8 combo is a little messed up. It randomly just cuts out completely for roughly 2 to 3 seconds and then it’s back in action. No rhyme or reason as to when it happens. So I have an opportunity to get the 1x10 combo at a really good price. But idk how much of a difference it’ll make. Does anyone know if the difference between the two is that drastic or not? If the 1x10 combo sounds noticeably better and gets at least a little louder, I might just do that. But I’m conflicted on what to do. Thank you for reading.

The 1x10 combo is 300w it should make quite a bit of difference. When your amp cuts off for a few seconds it could be the sign that you have overload the amp. Going bigger may solve that problem. I gig with my tiny Genzler 10-2 combo and I have 3 10-2 cabs total. Never really needed the other 2 extra cabs.
