Trills?

It occurred to me the other day that, given there are pull offs and hammer ons, it should be possible to trill on bass. And I tried it and it worked. Why don’t people do this more often? Or do they and I just haven’t noticed?

I’ve done it. I even vaguely recall seeing some music with trills written in.

I think it probably depends on the music genre. I’m sure a trill wouldn’t be out of scope for something like Bach.
