Triplets

Thank You. My teacher has taught me to use 3 fingers-index, middle and ring to do a triplet instead of 2 fingers. Using 3 fingers allow for a good flow of the notes for me.

There is a Youtube SBL vid about Steve Harris which looks at this, Scott, Ian and Sharon all have a go at the gallop (specifically in The Trooper I think) and they all do it in different ways, I think Sharon nails it (of course) and Ian did it with 3 fingers (my memory may be wrong as to who did what).
How I do those gallop triples varies with the song, the bass and how long I have been playing for that session. Sometimes it is easier with a pick too.
