So I nabbed one of these (was on sale with a coupon) for when I come out of my hole and want to practice upstairs with the dog or on the patio (dog won’t come into music room, hates tight spaces). For $50 the sound is really good and just perfect for practice at low volume or outside without having to have headphones on.

Yeah John, I’ve been really pleased with mine. I may need a full size amp someday but I see no need for me to invest in one until I learn to play something that’s recognizable. 
I just got a Vox guitar amp in yesterday…plugged it into the bass, put the headphones into it and ran a jack from my laptop where I’m doing my lessons into it as well and even with just a little hiss, it worked out better than I hoped. I’m not disturbing my family and I can still hear the bass and @JoshFossgreen at the same time.
