What are you listening to right now?

Today was a good day.

I got two problems solved on my project which I had been working on a while.

And this fan cam dropped after work

Bring Me the Horizon featuring Babymetal

When Babymetal hit the European metal festival circuit in 2015, they faced a lot of hatred from other bands behind the scenes, and BMTH saw this and reached out in friendship as a result. They have been close ever since.

In 2020, on October 29 they dropped this song, a collab they wrote for Babymetal. I remember the date well, I was waiting for the ferry to the mainland heading to the hospital for the first of three operations to remove tumors I had. This song was a bright spot that day.

When BMTH announced a Japanese tour this year, we hoped we would see the collab live. And today it happened. And with the camera guy on stage, we might get a video.

A good day indeed

I love this band. Their sound and visuals are great.

Awesome. Visually they remind me of Polysics. Style is very different though.

Yeah, someone in the comments mentioned Polysics band, so I took a look at them. And damn  a bit crazier than I would like at times, but damn!

Polysics are basically Devo 2.0

This pretty much sums up how my day is starting.

ASTEROID!!!

I am sorry for today’s spam, but I have to share it. It’s one of the most positive vibe albums I have ever listened to. And as the top, absolutely genius comment under this video said:

“You might assume he’s skydiving, but then you start to listen and realize this man is actually going up.”

Have a good one ladies and gentlemen.

Listening to Santeria right as I clicked on this thread.

Joey DiMaio and one of his heavily modded basses …

I always naively assumed that Manowar were so over the top that it was all a massive piss take of the genre.

But then I heard and interview and they were deadly serious about it all :man_shrugging:

Oh all the signing their record contracts in blood and stuff :grinning:? They’re actually excellent musicians from what I remember - I suppose they just spent too long in the 80s power metal universe…

Wimps and posers, leave the hall!

I do like Manowar, I don’t take them as serious as they do, but I enjoy them.
