What are you listening to right now?

speaking of thomas, if there is one thing that really pisses me off it’s why hasn’t the movie been re-released, sick of watching my copy burned off a VHS tape in the 80s. i’ve heard that he’s mentioned doing it several times but we’re all still waiting. from the greatest concert movie of all time, big time (1988)

Anything not involving peanut butter and walking over the crowd is not considered a crazy performance

Been on a bit of a Tina kick lately. I love how playful her basslines can get.

I’m working through this one and In a Lonely Place by New Order atm. Love both songs, Hooky’s lines on the New Order track are an absolute dirge compared to Tina dancing around the fretboard. Enjoy playing both, but the contrast between the bass lines is something else.

I’m a big fan of Talking Heads - but obviously not big enough to know “Memories can’t wait”. Thank you for the discovery - I have put it on my play list too.

“Lonely Place” is very close to the Joy Division stuff. I like!

It’s one of the last JD songs, along with Ceremony. Those 2 came out on the same 7" single on Factory months after Ian passed.

Yeah there’s also Murder/Hurt and so on, the cloud of singles that came out around when Movement did or between it and Power, Corruption, and Lies.

A lot of intersting stuff happening in South America. Love this song, love the relaxed bass line:
