Oh man, this is so nice to humm along with. Chris Standring, Liquid Soul. This is a fine example that the bassline can be very simple and very cool at the same time. My Hofner with flats loves me when I play along.

I’ve only just started listening to Chick Corea, but holy heck, that man wrote & arranged some wicked tunes and brought together some talented musicians. I can’t even keep up with the bass in my head, let alone contemplate ever playing like this.
I know almost nothing about him and his collaborators, but I’m looking forward to learning more.

You know you can buy Blu-Ray players other than the PS3 for about $40, right?
Only way to get some of their shows. And you know you can also get an external drive for your PC if not a blu ray player for the tv?
And you want blu ray - dvds are region encoded for Japan, they won’t play in a US player
I know.
And I get VAT off.
I read somewhere that they were going to make them region free for international shippings.
Are you sure it’s encoded to Japan?
You can also order one from Amazon Japan and they will ship it and it will still cost less than buying in the US due to the exchange rate.
