Ah, my gf likes Tool a lot. Now I know why!
(Just got a message from her if I can play “Schism” by Tool - no, cause 216 BPM^^)

I happen to think both my daughters have terrible taste in music. Both into all the different metal “cores” or whatever. They explain it to me, I smile and pretend to listen so they’ll keep talking. Apparently we all like Sleep Token a lot. Both are also Swifties. Not my thing and normally I wouldn’t pay a single bit of attention to her (not my kinda music). I do know quite a bit about her though because of my girls. I’d have a hard time coming up with a better role model for a couple of 20 something young women. If the world had more Taylor Swift’s, it would be a better world.
I think playing music you’re parents don’t like is a right of passage.
Yeah yeah! You have agreat music taste otherwise - tell me more about “Sleep Token” ^^
@faydout: can you point me to their best songs on the list below (standard tuning or Drop D)?
I still love most music my mother listened to, for example Millie Jackson. I think I did not rite the passage ![]()
The music is not my thing - but the video is absolutely GREAT!!!
Ok, found some interesting and playable Sleep Token stuff.
The voice is kind of strange, but interesting. In one song he used a “Cher-effect”. That’s an absolute NONO for me!

No clue, they aren’t my cuppa tea. I’m not into metal. Both my girls love them. Hell, the older kiddo tried to convince me to fly her half way across the country this summer and pay after market prices to take her to see them at Red Rocks.
So the “we” in this sentence means actually “they”, right? I need to pick up english 101 again ^^
@Wombat-metal - there is so much happening between the lines in the english language! No wonder that the US and the UK are so widely misunderstood these days…
Sarcasm. I refuse to give it up, even if it means I’m going to be misunderstood.
Once you get used to what we say isn’t what we mean it gets easier.
Worlock by Skinny Puppy.
Nine by Nine and Driven Like The Snow by Sisters of Mercy.
Many songs by The Cure.
etc etc.
Ahh good, she’s back to being super weird. Chainsaw killer suits her.
New Vulfpeck album

I need at least two lines to read between ![]()
