Aren’t we all…
Ahh cool, been wondering when the latest would arrive.
Currently spinning AIC - Facelift. Always thought it was inferior to Dirt, but it lands a bit more often than Dirt atm…
I just woke up and this was first video on YT when I opened it! ![]()
That’s what I am listening to now!
Beastie Boys - Shake your rump.
Awesome track from BB. A real nice tasty slap line in there as well. I love Beastie Boys. Chuck D from Public Enemy once said : “the dirty little secret at that time was that 3 white boys had the best beats in all of Hip Hop”
I kind of sold Fields of the Nephilim short back in the day. I always considered them kind of a derivative Sisters of Mercy or The Mission clone. But that’s unfair and really these guys are great on their own.
Moonchild reminds me of an early Sisters song, but if an early Joy Division Peter Hook had been on bass. Amazed I wasn’t more in to it back then.
In 1988 I was still in to Goth rock but was more full on electroindustrial by then so my attention was more on the bands on Nettwerk at that point.
@Megatronpt you might like these guys (and may already know them)
I like the sound a lot. But didn’t know them! Thanks.
Will put them into a list to hear more!
Yeah very much like early Dead Can Dance
well, minus Lisa Gerrard
Yeah… you are right. They do match the vibe!
i’d like to hear the story about reading the lyrics from his cell phone.
also, clowns

i’ve always considered the dickies and the descendants to be birds of a feather, so it’s nice to hear milo do this. also the bad brains version is killer too.
Was listening to
And they seem to also have other influences… maybe even some Lacrimosa sound at points… same with Bauhaus?
Anyhow! Thanks for the suggestion… enjoying this!
Another one I haven’t heard in years! One of the goth club that I used to go to in Hawai’i used to play this alot back in 96/97. This and Razed in Black, a local industrial band that was on Cleopatra.
Gordon Lightfoot. As I have been doing for the last six months.
