I believe he went cymbal free from his first solo album, the guinea pig drummer was Phil Collins - he had to replace it with a cushion.
Us is my favourite PG album, Digging in the Dirt may be my favourite PG track.
Excellent choice…
I have started the auto tab creator on songsterr, so if anyone else wants this in tabs it will be published on songsterr asap.
My audibles of the Discworld series by Sir Terry Pratchett. Why not read them? Because I can’t do a decent British accent in my head.
Whatcha mean you 'aint do a propa Bri-ish accent in ye 'ed? You arite mate?
i posted julie slick’s solo version video of E a few times and i remember someone said that it made them anxious she’s just such a monster player
edit: btw, fun fact. her and the drummer (who is her brother, no longer in the band) got the job as adrian’s back up band when they won a school of rock online competition and he saw them.
That was great! Are you sure you’re from Texas?
I had the good fortune of seeing the Trio when the siblings seemed outsized by their instruments (and Adrian still had hair!). An awe-inspiring show!
I JUST saw Adrian, Tony Levin, Steve Vai, and Danny Carey on tbe Beat tour last month and literally CRIED through half the show. Just to see Crimson performed with JOY!? To quote Trey Gunn, “Being in King Crimson is like having a low-grade infection. You’re not exactly SICK, but you don’t feel very well either…”
very thunder-fingers
Some inspriation @Justin3
This guy! So I feel weird posting covers in this space (they aren’t mine) but I found this channel, he hasn’t posted in 7 years but he just has a really interesting way to approach songs and a lot of the rhythms are unique. If you are doing covers there might be some good ideas hidden here:

Was such a big fan of these guys for a while.
First 3-4 albums or so were so good.
Once Prizefighter Inferno came out, started to feel like they lost the plot a little.
Got to “poppy” for me.
But this sounds great so far!
@faydout made me
@soulman this is another example of post-punk. Long intro but the slow buildup really adds to the song.
Mesh and Lace is a must-have post-punk masterpiece debut album IMO, but only the CD version. Opens with Gathering Dust, rolls in to 16 Days, a gem in 4AD’s catalog. It’s a crime that they are remembered for “I Melt With You”
(which is a great pop song, granted).
Unfortunately the video won’t play for me. But that’s alright. At this point in my life I’m also post punk by so many years I don’t need to create any greater distance from it at all. I’m coming 'round full circle back to enjoying Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra.
Ah songs from the depths of hell or at least I assume that’s what I may be listening to for eternity if I haven’t cleaned up my act enough before I die.
No worries. Picture something akin to the Joy Division I posted earlier crossed with Lemmy-era Hawkwind.
