What are you listening to right now?

“Standing Next to you” by the incredible Jung Kook from BTS. Don’t ever write these 7 guys off as just some ‘Korean boy band’!! WHAT a bass line :raised_hands:. In my dreams, one day I might get even close to playing it .

My playlist…

Wow. I think if be doing a lot more of the driving if she was my wife.

Love the bass in that track.

one of my favorite bands TV On The Radio did a tiny desk concert at NPR - fantastic:

I love this one for the crowd reaction as much as the next level rendition of the song.

Drunk guy: “No Love Lost! Play it! Play the song!”
Drunk guy 2: “NO LOVE LOST!”
Ian Curtis: “Hah - This next one… its a very old song. About two years old! Some of you might remember it…”
Drunk Guy: “LOUIE LOUIE!”
( Joy Division rips out an absolutely astounding version of Novelty)
Crowd: goes wild

Hooky is awesome as usual but Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris just rip this one out. I never think of Barney as an awesome guitarist but it’s hard to believe there’s just one of him here.

What you gonna do, what you gonna do when it’s over…

Thanks to everyone for their help on identifying the source of the note. Still not certain but some good leads

One of my favorite Japanese bands, I haven’t posted them before as they have been inactive since before I joined. But they have scheduled concerts in 2025 so hopefully we get new music. BE on bass. Mutant Monster

Our friend Poppy brings metal mainstream on Kimmel!

All the Ska talk lately has me going back to English Beat. Ignore for the moment that this song is not really very ska, always loved it.

Here they are much more ska.

(Mostly dig the “Mirror in the Bathroom” performance there but Ranking Full Stop is fun too).

Hanging On - KNOWER - YouTube feat. Tim Lefebure on bass.

At the moment, watching on of The-Art-Of-Guitar videos about bad guitar tab books, in this case, Judas Priest!

They really bring it in concert. Worth the money.
