Wow I love her voice. Thanks for sharing
Right now, I have a Pandora channel playing in the background. It’s got… White/Rob Zombie, Tool, Opeth, Godsmack, Korn, a bit of Metallica, stuff like that. It’s a great channel to listen to if I need a bit o’ extra energy.
I too have discovered how amazing Steely Dan is! I never listened to them much except for things like Rick Beato’s “what makes this song great” series and just random songs on the radio… but i was reading some audiophile stuff and they were talking about reference listening of the best mixed/mastered albums and apparently “Aja” is on the top of the list for many people. The tracks have some great bass lines too.
Love that album
Steely Dan is also among my favorite 70s type music, @bob.oconnor1 . . .
I like “Aja”, but if I had to pick one favorite it would be “The Royal Scam”
Cheers
Joe
That is a good one too. I haven’t listened to it in some time though. Perhaps time to revisit.
Pretzel Logic is pretty good too
online there was the question asked “tell us a song to make love to”.
easy.
Such a good album. Praga Khan was like the most prolific artist ever for a while, both Lords of Acid and his many side projects.
Good link for the album:

I think the single for “I Sit On Acid” had been out a while when they released that though, along with “I Must Increase My Bust.” At least I swear I remember both in clubs before the '90s.
Heh, awesome!
God I miss this band. Wonder how many BPM they’re playing live
They were amazing live.
TIL that Tommy Ramone produced The Replacements’ Tim.
Just dropped this in another topic and was reminded of just how amazing this album was.
I mean, all of Dangers’ works are amazing, but Satyricon was special.
Meat Beat Manifesto was another amazing live show too.
This is just such a great song, no matter who does it.
240-250bpm basing it off the snare drum being on 2 and 4.
@Wombat-metal And all downstrokes
