Going through my sampling playlist on Spotify and ripping my own samples for future production.
And this is so funky! No wonder it is one of the main sample elements of the “Daft Punk” sound. I will miss these guys, they treated music production really differently.
Just finished a stream with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, live Q&A. Learned her music is inspired by Disneyworld; she wants to bring the fans to a fantasy world for her performance. And this is her favorite song to perform, the audience is so responsive she gets emotional
Last year at the height of their success, after finishing a 10 night run at Budokan, Babymetal shutdown. And I mean down, their fan club site, The One, went offline. We haven’t seen the girls in a year. And they officially ended the Metal Resistance, which is what they called their assault on the glass ceiling of the metal music business.
When they collaborated with Bring Me the Horizon Su hinted another resistance was brewing.
And today April 1st, Fox Day in Babymetal world when they make announcements, we get this.
And what does it mean. They are a cryptic lot
But I am watching this looking for clues, cause they are there. But Babymetal is coming back
Part of it is the yearly “Waves upgrade program” thing, and the fact that without that plan in effect I only get one license to use on a single computer. It isn’t often an issue, but I do have a laptop and a desktop. And they have sales so often it’s not even worth trying to sell the ones I don’t use anymore, like Abbey Road Vinyl that is a massive CPU hog for crackles and warbles o.O
Funnily enough, I’m having fits right now getting Cosmos, their free sample library manager, to recognize its own license that Waves Central was supposed to have installed
I was just in a cheeky mood when I made the comment… not looking to derail the thread with a discussion
Great band @kristine ,
Love the “live in Seattle” dvd,
I just finished transcribing a song from the concert, so hopefully should have it nailed and uploaded over the next few weeks😃
Cheers Brian
