@Koldunya Oops, sorry. How about: some Greek yogurt, a Greek salad with cucumber, greek olives, feta cheese and tomato, or some lentil or egg-lemon soup?
And vs. waffles, maybe some Swedish rye flour flatbread? You might find the latter at some grocery chains, or a specialty store, even Ikea if one is near you.
I have an IKEA within walking distance
Bassist at work
@Koldunya My son got some round rye crispbread, with sesame seeds at Ikea. (also some cod roe spread, not my cup of tea, though). My husband (of Swedish descent) found a similar rye crispbread in big rounds (no sesame seeds), and Wasa brand crispbread, at a German store.
Here’s the late bassist Rutger Gunnarsson playing a bit of Dancing Queen, for a Friday listen. He played on most of Abba’s recordings.
if IKEA would stock delicious mildost in a tube I would buy a lot of it lol. I used to eat that on knäckebröd all the time
And I somehow came across this… http://ikeaordeath.com
Billy, Frank and Elwood
Some really, really stellar use of string pads.

Apparently a real orchestra.
This was a great documentary! I saw it on Netflix.
PS - I always loved that ZZ Top song, AND, a fun Texas fact for all the non-Texas BassBuzzers, where this was filmed (Greune Hall - pronounced “green”) is the “oldest dance hall” in the state of Texas, built in 1878.
If any of you are ever in Central Texas (Austin or San Antonio area), head by New Braunfels (and Gruene!) to visit this place, especially if in the evenings where live music is almost 7 days per week. Also, The Gristmill right next door is an awesome place for some Texas food!
Here is me and the Mrs. at Gruene Hall a few years back…
PPS - @Wombat-metal … that was actually Dusty Hill (not Elwood) in this video. It was shot before Dusty’s passing. Thanks for sharing!!
Aww, my first concert
(Actually I saw them on the Electric Eye/Screaming for Vengeance tour and not British Steel, but that song was still the reason a lot of people went!)
One of my favorites. Has a right amount of dream and anger for a Toosday.
Toy Matinee, fronted by Kevin Gilbert, one of the most talented songwriters you never heard of. In the late eighties, when he was in his early twenties, he worked on projects of several established pop musicians, including Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Keith Emerson, acting as producer for the latter’s album Changing States.
He co-wrote Sheryl Crow’s first hit “All I Wanna Do”, as well as seven other numbers on her debut album.
He did thirty years old, from a self-inflicted act of stupidity: autoerotic asphyxiation.
One of his earliest projects was Toy Matinee. One album was released; this is one of the songs on that album.

not my first concert but they played a pretty legendary free concert outside chicago at a big racetrack in the 70s that i went to. the show opened with a ton of smoke pouring out on the stage and the drum riser opened up and rob came riding out on a big harley onto the stage. ok fine. but then he got off, took out a bullwhip and started erm… whipping the harley
awkward.
Yes, that sounds very, very Halford. Rode the Harley on stage for the show I was at too.
Funny thing is Halford is like the nicest guy in the business. Priest still rocks
