This one is super fun to pay. The main body of the song is just a basic percussive groove, but the intro riff is rad and the little breakdown is fun.
Been listening to new the new Deafheaven album. It’s really good.
Also since summer is approaching and it means more time spend in the garden, I’m listening a lot to bands like Blood Ceremony, Green Lung and Lumsk.

the last time i heard new blues on the radio it was this. here in chicago, several songs on this were getting regular rotation on WXRT at the time. RIP.
i think i read somewhere that it is considered some bizarre version of a xmas song now, i think it originally came out around xmas or some such craziness.
edit: ahh.
I really liked that. Thanks for posting
oh for sure. i’m just saying that album was the closest thing to a hit blues record in decades. at least that i know of.
super interesting guy, died too young. that’s him, driving his cab (which was his real job btw).
edit: actually that’s the story i always heard, but can’t find any confirmation online of this. oh well, i choose to believe it’s true.
Ahh cool, back to their roots!
He’s got some awesome songs. Glad you posted that, it reminds of one of his songs I’ve been wanting to learn. Tonight’s fun is settled then!
Percussion instruments right out of Blue Man Group. I saw the original group at their hugely bespoke theater on the near north side of Chicago. It was an amazing experience.
One of my all time faves
