Well, I hear on the news that today is “earth day.” I dunno why there is a specific day for this… any day is earth day if one wakes up I guess

Polyrock - Your Dragging Feet
I love this tune
I am a year late hearing this song, but while working the other day my daughter is in the next room playing a tune that has caught my attention. I stopped working to listen . . .
I’m taken back to when I was a young man two-stepping with my wife and bar tending at a rowdy old west style-saloon with the likes of Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe, and Jerry Jeff Walker (to name a few) blaring on the radio.
Yep, it was Shaboozey (my favorite video version)
Because anytime is blues time.
I was today years old when I learned that Buddy is out on tour in 2025. Not coming to my town, alas, but I may make the trek over to Illinois this summer to catch a legend.
Yes!
Got the song on the program for a blues workshop this Saturday. Only lead sheet available at the moment, so jamming along to the song
Your Dragging Feet is definitely my favorite song by Polyrock.
I was fortunate enough to see them play live in Carbondale, Illinois in the early 1980s.
I’ll continue the trend
I was going to do Howlin Wolf but got beat to it
Apparently Paul and Al are getting back together for one last album.
Al claims the next one (with Paul) will be the final Ministry album, but he’s said so many others would be the final one. At this point I think the only way to guarantee it’s the last one is for Grampa Al to die.
lmao yes. What are they up to now, like 18 albums at this point?
16 studio albums. 17 if you count the recently released Squirrely Years Revisited.
Plus a plethora of live albums, remix albums, compilations, etc.
The Ultimate Sin was my last Ozzy album. Wow it has been a long time.
I had amassed so much music from so many different genres, but transitioning from LPs and 8-track, to cassettes, to CDs, to mp3, to subscription services I have no idea what was lost.
Wow! Still touring at 88 years old. The first time I saw him was the summer of '65. He was blazing fast then, and still going strong now. Here’s a cool collab he did in '69.
Somebody somewhere posted “Nellie the Elephant” by Toy Dolls. Was it a cover? Was it on BB or on zzeee Zzzerman forum? Dunno!
Anyway, haven’t heared it since the 80s - it’s great!
Also: my girlfriend, who is much younger and missed out the cool 80s was like: “This reflects your youth? Explains a lot!!”
