What are you listening to right now?

Yeah, it’s kind of crazy - Russian post-punk/Sovietwave is a complete subgenre now.

Yeah, it is great and I love the atmosphere. Lately, I’m listening new latino bands. For example, this one (Translate the lyrics, they are on the information box):

Cool! It’s great to see it take off all over the world. My favorite recent post-punk find is also from Mexico:

Their album is solid all across!

Really liking these guys from Italy too:

I didn’t liked too much the Remix version, but the original one is pretty good.

Time to swap videos

Maybe common knowledge but just learned that another song by my favorite cover band bauhaus is… yep, a cover. Btw bauhaus just started a new tour and on day one already seem to be bickering onstage

They can still bring it though.

Ooh excellent, thanks for the tips!

Yeah the Hoffen album version of Cold Tears Of An Angel is pretty different from the remix, I like both.

I really liked the Ash Code song there. Both were great.

Their covers really are amazing though. Both Ziggy Stardust and Third Uncle are better than the originals. David Bowie even said he liked Bauhaus’ cover more than his version.

I didn’t know about Rosegarden Funeral of Sores either, lol.

I’m not generally a fan of j-pop but this gets me feet tapping

I wouldn’t call that J-Pop, that’s straight up rock. Those guys have been around since the '70s.

Mix a Canadian singer with a Swedish melodic death metal band, and you get Arch Enemy. Just dropped a new single. And I love the bass tone.

That studio set is awesome, there’s a few other tracks from it. I forget which song it was (later in the set) but they all look incredibly pissed off in the video and basically storm out when the song ends

Stephen Morris is just a machine throughout too.

Temptation is a really fun song to play too, a few challenging bits. My bandmate and I had a lot of fun covering that one.

Check this out gang,
I got a sore back watching it:joy::rofl::joy::rofl::joy:
Cheers Brian

Always nice to see Tanya Donelly

I was never a huge Breeders fan despite liking all of the musicians individually a lot. Kind of weird. I loved all the bands they came from, but for some odd reason they just never gelled with me as The Breeders. It’s a me thing, they are a great band, just… not the Throwing Muses or Pixies vibes I loved and expected with them. Bummed me when Tanya split too, though TBH I guess Belly never really landed with me either, and they were really good too. I blame myself here.

Wiggs is a seriously great bass player though. Underrated.

So Thom Yorke of Radiohead has a side project called The Smile. They just put out a new album and it is FANTASTIC. This song in particular has been on repeat and that’s 100% because of the kick ass bass line in this jam! Highly recommend trying to play this one, super fun.

Couldn’t find a good new song to day for all I tried. So I went old school.
