Good day for some older pg.lost, from my favorite album of theirs, “Versus”.
Their bass/keyboard player, Kristian Karlsson, is also in Cult of Luna. Playing a Fender J here, plus a Roland Juno (looks like one of the reissues) and some beast of a knobby behemoth synth that I should recognize but don’t.
Some insane bass distortion/fuzz when they kick in to Off The Beaten Path.

Turns out it’s an original Juno-60. Cool. It’s in very nice condition for an '82 Juno.
Still not sure what the mystery synth is. He shows it here but doesn’t mention it, and instead skips over to a MiniMoog.
Some cool insight into their gear and process here.

Blondie has been re-releasing remastered videos lately, and I’m enjoying the deep cuts, bass kills it on this one (Nigel Harrison I think)

Over one billion views, and I just watched the video for the first time today. I like it.
There’s that segue at 2:44 and I thought “haven’t we heard something like this before?”
Yes - yes we have.

I think it is a MiniMoog, too! The Voyager
The Minimoog Voyager or Voyager is a monophonic analog synthesizer, designed by Robert Moog and released in 2002 by Moog Music. Five years earlier in 1997, the Minimoog Voyager Electric Blue was first produced by Moog Music. The Voyager was modeled after the classic Minimoog synthesizer that was popular in the 1970s, and is meant to be a successor to that instrument.
In November 1996, Moog Music (then Big Briar) announced that they planned to release an updated version of the Minimoog. The new ...

I think you’re right! Crazy, never seen one of those before. Only 20 years old too, very young for a MiniMoog.
The MiniMoog is my favorite Moog; Very few synths do raw synth bass better, even today, IMO.

Are all Moog models available as plug-ins these days (for the appropriate price, of course)??

Good question, not sure. The MiniMoog is of course, good one in V Collection.
Mini V, Mini V plugin, buy Mini V, download Mini V trial, Arturia Mini V
Almost all synths will also have MiniMoog inspired patches.

That’s just crazy insane. Good for her.
That’s likely several million dollars from ad revenue alone.

Back in 1983, I remember questioning why I liked this song. I kind of still am.
