Listening/watching more bass tab videos of random songs I like and astounded at how many ‘difficult’ looking basslines are actually fifths and octaves being played, including on songs I just assumed were super difficult to remember. These things Josh has taught us have really helped me tackle songs that I would otherwise have stayed away from, because I just keep in mind the scale shapes.
Today is a very progressive rock day.
Saturday, my GF and I went to a very small show in a soundstage up in LA where Ryo Okumoto (the keyboard player for Spock’s Beard) played the entirety of his newest solo album (The Myth Of The Mostrophus). He had a really good lineup of musicians: Alan Morse (Spock’s Beard) on guitar, Pete Griffin (Dethklok tour band, pretty awesome bassist) on bass, just to name a few, and number of other notables (including our friend Kevin Krohn on backup keyboards and vocals).
They played a Spock’s Beard song, which I just finished listening to and present to you:

At work on drums (she also plays bass and piano)
Love it that they’re redefining expectations
i did not know he had even one album, let alone like… 7 of them
Really good stuff. He plays piano on most of them as well.
It was Fast Eddies birthday yesterday so it was a Motörhead only day.
I can appreciate the amount of effort that went into this and I thought I’d share with you all.
And then there was Necronomoidol
Been around since 2014, and now down to one member, but still going
how in the world do we embed videos???
THey have to be on a host like YouTube of Vimeo, can’t embed them directly.
If it’s from You Tube just copy the link in the task bar (right click mouse and copy link).
Then right click mouse and paste the link into this box.
Make sure it’s not next to other text i.e there’s a space and you’re good.
