One of the GOATs. Amazing album.
Girlfriend is Better has always been my favorite Talking Heads song.

@Ant I’m guessing you’ve seen this comp of Clay Gober. All the guys from Polyphia are such great musicians.
I concur about it being an amazing album. Every song on it is great.
This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) is a special favorite of mine.
also in case you have not seen it yet, stop what you are doing and watch. ‘this must be the place’ starting at 48:30 is maybe my favorite 5 minutes of music related anything ever recorded:

Hey @mgoldst and others. If you want forum members to watch a YT video at a certain point there’s an easier way.
Drag the red slider at the bottom of the YT video to the point you want.
Then right click on the red dot to reveal a drop down menu. Click ‘Copy video URL at current time’
Paste this link into your post and when I click on the video it will play exactly where you want it to.
You’re all most welcome. Have a lovely Monday.
The issue is you can’t (or at least I can’t find a way to) get a specific time start on the YouTube phone app.
just add ?t=time in seconds to the end of the random letters of the link (eg. abcxyz?t=276 to watch from 4:36)

“Classic Alternative” on Apple Music Radio. Currently, “(What’s So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding” by Elvis Costello & The Attractions.
Billie Jean, move over; there is a new stamina trainer in town:

Almost 5 minutes straight of the same riff during the guitar and synth solos - mucho fun for strictly alternate plucking and raking
EDIT: oops, I just realized this should have been posted in the “currently working on” thread (Oh, boy, Mondays…)
This reminded me of this tune:

@jacq : I think they recorded the entire album in a day or two. Lee Sklar, who plays bass here, talked about it in his “Covid” YT videos (quite entertaining!).
I didn’t watch his youtube, but last week I listened to him talking about his channel here:
BTW. I highly recommend the whole podcast.
Quite entertaining (to use your words) interviews with some decent bass players.
or you can listen to that here (in case you are not a Spotify fan/user):
Will check it out - thanks for the tip!
(And, no, not a Spotify user )
something else with a great bassist
She is still so so good.
Lately, I’ve had The Yussef Dayes Experience playing at Joshua Tree on heavy rotation. That’s Rocco Palladino on bass.
Following dad’s footsteps, sweet!
