can’t go wrong with a bit of Suede
I’ve decided that today is a Siouxsie and the Banshees day. Just finished “Cities in Dust” and am currently listening to “The Passenger”, both via the iTunes Music “Siouxsie and the Banshees Essentials” playlist.
fun little jam
Different Class was the 1990’s
One of the best covers of all time, IMO. I think Iggy thought so too.
The New Mastersounds. I posted one of their songs here some time ago (“Freckles”).
Here is the full 2h set I’ve been listening to… The whole band is great. I just love the rhythmic section, and the way the bassist locks with the drummer is absolutely amazing.
My wife talking.
Babymetal put tickets for their concerts up for sale last night, 20,000 yen a seat ($156USD)
Blinked, you missed it. Sold out in a minute.
They do have elaborate stages
Babymetal is a money making machine. Their management firm, Amuse Entertainment, who has some big name performers like Perfume and One OK Rock, tells us in their annual report that Babymetal comprises 30-40% of their annual revenue. Their top artist earnings wise.
This clip has the Western Kamis, not the normal Japanese musicians. A more aggressive sound
Tin roof!!!
….rusted!
This is certainly a listen all the way through album.
My goodness the harmonies and voices (well, not Fred, lol)
Great album, I have serious memories attached to Roam. I think Sara Lee played bass on it too (and she’s in Gang of Four now).
But it wouldn’t be the B-52 sound without Fred’s voice!
Check this out. Great voice and beautiful bass line (guitar-like):
I start many mornings off with this one. Today is no exception.
Cookie day, cookie day,
It;s a beautiful cookie day
