What are you listening to right now?

Awesome!

New soul on the playlist today: Nobody’s Baby - Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. Sounds like '67 but actually '07.

It’s funny, the first two times I saw Social Distortion, the opening act cancelled. The first was Sham 69 in Denver on the LA Prison Bound tour. They played forever. Been a huge fan sense.

Second time was on tour for Social Distortion and Gang Green cancelled. I was bummed because I liked Gang Green. This time they had local bands open. One band was Calamity Jane from Portland, great band that I remember being an all-girl band.

Every other time, no issues with opening acts.

Anyway, I’ve been listening to this 80’s punk band from Colo Spgs from my childhood.

Now that’s a blast from the past, saw them more than once

I love Social D. One of my favorites right from their start. Their first three albums are must-owns.

If you are/were from Portland, ever see the Wehrmacht? Legit, one of my favorite live bands. I saw them and shortly after Bad Brains. What an amazing time it was to be young.

I don’t remember them! I do remember Sweaty Nipples though, whose singer came from them, it turns out.

My granddad saw the Wehrmacht, but that’s a different story.

Never knew that Sweaty Nipples and the Wehrmacht shared any members. I haven’t heard that name in years.

BTW, currently listening to Sleep.

I spent a whole lot of time at Satyricon and saw most of the PDX bands. I am guessing you and I have probably seen each other at some point in real life

i mean thats what punk used to be…bunch of awkward dudes jamming in a garage on cheap instruments playing fast, agressive 1-4-5 chords; not overproduced autotuned pop music with distorted guitars run through a gajillion effects.
